Veterinary Receptionist
We’re looking for an enthusiastic animal-lover with outstanding customer service skills to join our amazing and compassionate team! We are a nonprofit and operate a fast-paced, high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic for cats and dogs in the Camp Washington area of Cincinnati. We focus our efforts on helping shelters, rescues, low-income families, and community cats, so that one day there will be no more homeless pets in Greater Cincinnati!

As the face of our company to the public, you must be a positive, friendly and outgoing person who enjoys talking with and helping people. The job requires the ability to multi-task in a noisy and busy environment, fast & accurate typing skills, comfort learning and using different software programs and the ability to work hard and as part of a team.
Candidates must have 1 to 2 years’ experience working at a veterinary clinic, shelter, or other animal organization where they gained familiarity with veterinary terms and services.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Greeting clients warmly and providing excellent customer service
· Answering phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner
· Providing accurate information about the services we provide and pricing
· Scheduling both in-person and online appointments through our scheduling software
· Assisting with check-in and check-out of surgery patients and assisting the medical team as a vet assistant when necessary
· Assisting clients and invoicing during our Friday vaccine clinic
Qualifications & Skills Required:
· 1 to 2 years’ experience in similar position in the animal/veterinary field
· A comfort level with handling cats and dogs
· Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent typing skills
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced, busy environment; be an energetic self-starter who takes initiative when things need to be done and needs minimal supervision
