Rheumatology Physician Opportunity Near ROCKAWAY PARK, NY Job Summary:We are seeking a Rheumatology trained physician to join our healthcare team, dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.Ideal Candidate Qualifications:Clinical Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting.Patient-Centered Approach: Exhibit a patient-centered approach toward ensuring a positive patient experience.Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills.Interest in Population Health: Display an interest in Population Health.Responsibilities:Patient Evaluation:Review patients history and perform a physical examination.Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.Diagnostic Tests:Recommend and order lab tests, including X-rays of the joints, to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose conditions.Specialized Diagnosis and Treatment:Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system.Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and joints.Treat patients with rheumatic diseases, including but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis.Prescription and Management:Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications.Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.Referral and Collaboration:Refer to occupational or physical therapy as required.Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.Qualifications:Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.Residency: Completion of three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.Fellowship: Completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship.Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Rheumatology.Licensure: Candidate must possess or be eligible for a New York State License.Registration: Be eligible for DEA registration.Reimbursement: Be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.Certification: BLS or ACLS certification required but both strongly preferred.Communication Skills: Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.Medical Office Hours of Operation:Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PMThursday: 8:00 AM 8:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PMCompetitive Benefit Package:Competitive Base Salary.Malpractice Insurance.Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.Medical/Dental/Vision Health Insurance.If you are a dedicated Rheumatology physician seeking a fulfilling opportunity near ROCKAWAY PARK, NY, apply now using reference Job ID #j-189656.
