Job DescriptionWe’re partnering with a growing fashion client seeking a Sweater Designer with strong juniors apparel experience and a background in sweaters and cut & sew product to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with an off-price background who understands trend-driven product development across juniors, missy, and contemporary categories and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Position OverviewThe Sweater Designer will support the full product lifecycle from initial concept through final development, partnering cross-functionally with merchandising, production, technical design, and external vendors to bring trend-right product to market. This role requires a strong creative eye, technical product knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and development process from concept through final production Research fashion trends, customer preferences, silhouettes, color direction, and fabric innovation Create sketches, artwork, and product concepts aligned with brand and market direction Partner closely with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and external vendors throughout development Manage sample organization, tracking, and communication across cross-functional teams Assist in preparing presentation boards and materials for seasonal and milestone meetings Support prototype development, approvals, and product execution throughout the development cycle Ensure product aligns with customer expectations, trend direction, and business objectives Qualifications3+ years of apparel design experience Strong juniors apparel experience required Sweater design experience required Cut & sew experience strongly preferred Missy and/or contemporary category experience a plus Off-price fashion experience highly preferred Strong sketching ability, color sense, and fabric knowledge Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
