Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain new and existing features and products for all digitalplatforms that are owned and operated by E! NewsParticipate in code reviews and collaborative pair programming to createand ship the highest possible quality codeContribute to the learning and adoption of best practices and tools formodern web application developmentParticipate in gathering technical requirements and defining the bestapproaches for new product development RequirementsB.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalentindustry experience5+ years of web development experience using Java, Spring, JSP(s), and otherbackend technologies3+ years' experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies includingMYSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.1-2 years' experience with Node.jsExperience with caching technologies such as Ehcache, Memcache, Redis, and Varnish.Rich understanding of RESTful based servicesDeep understanding of object oriented design patterns.Experience with cloud based deployments in AWS including knowledge of EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation.Experience with git. An appreciation of the importance of good documentation in code comments,git commits, and wikis / knowledge basesGood written and verbal communication skills in person, team chat, emailand meetingsExperience with Automated Testing frameworks and methodologies such asjUnit, Mockito, TDD, and Selenium.
