CNC Machinist Mill Lathe

Job Description Summary/Objective:Four levels of CNC Machinist are classified as; Level I, Level II, Level III and Lead. Each classification should have reliability and adaptability to perform the job duties described below. Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, strong oral communications, and seek a position that provides steady employment and growth opportunities. The CNC Machinist must be able to work in high-demand and fast-paced environments.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Basic knowledge of operating a CNC mill or latheAbility to read a ruler and calipersAbility to meet on-time scheduling of products in a fast-paced environmentProvide assistance to other machinists when production demands are highAdheres to established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standardsResponsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirementsFacilitate and promote company policy and the company Quality Improvement program within all department work groupsWork overtime and weekends as requested along with perform other duties as assignedPerform standard machinist duties such as: setup of machine, grind and deburr parts before and after machining, change tooling and operate tool probe, check fluid levels, and clean work areaUnderstands basic mathCNC Machinist level II: all of the above plus:Ability to make programs using MazatrolAbility to edit posted programs as neededPractical knowledge of how a CNC machine operatesPerform machine setups with little instructionAbility to operate different CNC machinesPerform routine maintenance on the CNC machineCNC Machinist level III: all of the above plus:Ability to perform complex setups with no instructionAbility to identify potential problems before they happenExcellent knowledge of how a CNC machine operates and the ability to repair issues with them as neededLead Machinist: all of the above plus:Ability to operate and program Mazak mills and lathes as wells as Citizen Swiss machineExcellent time management and problem-solving skillsAdhere to quality and safety standardsOptimize workflow and operational efficiencyEnsure all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintainedSupervise and train staffAbility to diagnose technical machine issuesMonitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as neededSkills/Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skillsFamiliar with operating a CNC machineFamiliar with quality and safety standardsFamiliar with CNC toolingComputer literate with experience using e-mailAbility to understand and apply workplace safety proceduresPractical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment requiredAbility to lift 40 poundsAbility to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climbMay be exposed to excessive noise and fumesDays & Hours: Either Tuesday through Friday 4-10's /or/ Monday through Friday 5-8's(Expect to work overtime)Company DescriptionAbout ProSource Staffing: Our MissionOur mission is to be the staffing services provider and employment agency of choice by helping people and companies achieve their goals.
