Digital Print Machine Operator (2nd shift)
Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance and billing industries across the U.S.We're looking for a full-time Digital Print Operator to join our 2nd Shift team in Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for operating industrial-size digital print and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed documents.Full time schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Eastern time). Overtime is scheduled on an as needed basis. Extended hours are usually scheduled at least once a month, typically during the first 7 days of each month to complete month end processing. Additional overtime could be scheduled during the week and could include weekends in rare circumstances.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEfficient operation of digital printing equipment, continuous and cutsheetEfficient operation of cutter equipment, Hunkler cutter and Champion guillotineQuality control of all printed outputAccurate accountability for all printed output and material(s) usedClearly communicates when supplies and consumables are getting to low and/or any issues occur to Supervisor or Production Manager. Consistently communicates with Mailing Services team or Production Coordinator Specialist to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Works closely with Technical Services teams from FSSI and printer manufacturesAttention to detail is an absolute must for the accurate and quality printing of multiple jobs on multiple printersOrganizational Skills - Print Operators are required to maintain an organized and clean workspaceTeamwork - A team player mindset is essential for success in this position, as Print Operators work closely with each other, all other Operations teams and the Customer Service teamAdditional work, as assignedRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS/ RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 3+ years of experience in commercial digital print operations is preferred, but open to entry level as wellEffectively read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsFlexibility, as overtime and weekend hours are available, and maintain a high level of confidentialityPhysical RequirementsEmployees must regularly use hands for grasping, handling, or feeling, reach with arms, and communicate. Standing is required for up to 10 hours daily, involving continuous upper body movement. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently. Specific vision required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.Usage of a hand truck, carts and pallet jacks to push and pull materials.
