Senior Packaging Engineer

Job Title: Senior Packaging Engineer Location: Jacksonville, FL Duration: 12 Months Must have 5+ years in Medical Devices, packaging materials, testing methodologies, and cost-analysis Responsibilities: Independently manage all aspects of medical device packaging projects, from concept development to implementation. Lead and manage the work of offshore/offshore packaging engineering resources, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, regulatory, manufacturing) to design and develop optimal packaging solutions. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for medical device packaging. Conduct and interpret lab testing to ensure packaging meets performance requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of cost-optimization principles for packaging design. Document packaging processes and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree /Diploma in Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related field (required). Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device packaging engineering. Proven ability to independently manage complex medical device packaging or similar projects. Experience leading and managing a team of engineers (a plus). Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO). Experience with packaging materials, testing methodologies, and cost-analysis is preferred. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
