Broadcast Solutions Engineer

Purpose: The role of Broadcast Solutions Engineers position is to develop, design, and implement new or modified NEP software solutions. This position will be a member of the broadcast support and networking teams to provide broadcast facilities with 24/7 support. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Provide 24/7 technical support for NEP broadcast systems Ensure systems are acceptably stable and responsive to field engineering staff. Develop, maintain and support NEP monitoring system Researching, designing, implementing, supporting, and managing full-stack software solutions Testing and evaluating new programs Writing and documenting efficient code Maintaining and upgrading existing systems Maintain proper documentation and training of all projects. Troubleshooting and configuration of broadcast and network systems Position Requirements: Technical or Associates degree in Computer Science desired, however a combination of education and experience will be considered. Prior experience in the broadcast television industry preferred Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills. Technical support background Must be willing and able to travel as necessary. Linux, Mac, and Windows proficient Proficient in Go, Node.JS / Python and/or other programming languages Ability to learn new technologies and solutions quickly Network management and monitoring experience Understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 switching Understanding of basic networking concepts such as VLANs, subnets, and network loops Experience w/ Kubernetes and VM solutions (VMWare, Nutanix, ProxMox, AWS etc) a plus Experience w/ Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus applications a plus
