Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, vision and growth of the Trailer Bridge Europe entity. This position will rely heavily on a candidate that drives new strategic business through Government contracts, develops subcontract opportunities and increases existing Trailer Bridge Europe business through innovative vet practical solutions utilizing existing Trailer Bridge capabilities and the growth of new capabilities. The Business Development Manager will represent Trailer Bridge to Government customers at the Federal, State and local levels and provide visionary leasdership to drive alignment with Trailer Bridge’s company initiatives.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Represents Trailer Bridge and the interests of the organization to federal, state and local governments.
Develops and executes the vision and strategy for Trailer Bridge Europe entity.
Frequently interact with team, outside customers, and/or functional peer groups at various management levels. Conduct presentations/training of technical information concerning specific compliance topics, specific projects, etc.
Manage operational reporting / exception reporting to ensure timely and accurate processing, issue resolution and timely submission of all customs activities.

Proven success in developing an organization and driving results.
Knowledge of the Global Transportation and Distribution Industry especially related to the Government trade.
Knowledge and strong experience managing and working with global carriers
Knowledge and expertise in contract management in support of global transportation agreements.
Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Strong negotiation skills to assist in optimizing transportation networks and negotiating optimum service and price agreements
Strong planning/program management skills with forecasting capabilities.
Ability to lead and direct multi-functional teams.
Ability to work in high stress situations.
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Teamwork and communication skills in a multicultural and multi-divisional environment are required.
Knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in similar commercial organizations developing and growing a Government specific logistics and transportation division.
Bachelor’s degree in transportation, international business, supply chain or related field.
Strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication/ presentation skills
Must pass reference and background check
