We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our People and OD Team. It is an exciting time to join our team to be involved in driving forward the Trust's People Plan.
Your focus will be on understanding the strategic and operational people issues in your areas of responsibility, and on facilitating and implementing the expert solutions required to achieve the objectives in those areas. In facilitating solutions, you will work closely with the expert functions across People & OD, including the Employee Relations team, Recruitment, Medical Staffing, Temporary Staffing, Workforce Information and Learning and OD.
We would love to hear from you if you are a proactive HR professional able to demonstrate a clear track record for delivering best practice both operationally and strategically within a large organisation. You will need to have experience of working within a Business Partnering model and be able to demonstrate the ability to engage proactively and with credibility with stakeholders. You will also need to be able to think flexibly and innovatively to facilitate and implement solutions to meet the challenges and opportunities faced by our workforce.
The role is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2-3 days required on site. The team is based at our Mount Vernon site but the postholder will need to be able to travel to our Hillingdon Hospital site. A cross site minibus is available.
Main duties of the job
Developing and contributing to workforce strategies and plans that support Divisional and Trust-wide business objectives in line with the People Strategy
Developing the people management capabilities of managers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities;
Taking the lead on specialist/project areas as directed by the Deputy Director of People & Organisational Development
Supporting the development of the HR Consultants to provide a proactive and effective HR service, ensuring the on-going development of the team.
Develop excellent working relationships and stakeholder engagement at all levels within designated Divisions to enable the effective diagnosis of people issues and the development of solutions
Ensure the People Strategy is communicated and understood within designated Divisions and that its interventions are implemented

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.

Person Specification

Educated to Master level or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
Evidence of Continuous professional development
Extensive track record of operational and strategic HR achievement, working with a broad remit including OD
Significant experience at a senior level in large, complex, high performing environments
Significant experience of facilitating and managing change
Extensive experience of working in partnership with Trades Unions
In-depth knowledge and experience of working within a HR Business Partner model
Experience of supporting services to deliver people related cost efficiency schemes
Ability to analyse highly complex workforce problems identifying risk and developing a range of tailored solutions.
Ability to provide authoritative advice on highly complex workforce issues and demonstrate developed persuasive, motivational and negotiating skills
Ability to analyse, understand and present business, financial and workforce data
Recognised Coaching qualification
Experience of working in the NHS
