This is a growth-driven opening within a high-priority group that advises clients on complex construction, development, and project-related matters from project inception through completion.This role is ideal for an attorney with experience drafting and negotiating construction agreements, handling construction-related disputes and claims, and advising on risk allocation among owners, contractors, and design professionals.Compensation & Work StructureCompensation: $215,000 – $355,000 base salary, plus bonusBillable Requirement: 1,850 hoursWork Model: Hybrid schedule with four days in the office - New York, NYResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate sophisticated construction and commercial agreementsAdvise clients on risk allocation among owners, contractors, design professionals, and other project stakeholdersHandle construction-related disputes, claims, payment issues, and project-related conflictsSupport real estate development and construction projects throughout the project lifecycleWork closely with partners and clients on high-value, complex construction and development mattersAssist with matters involving design-build contracts, EPC agreements, architect/engineer agreements, mechanics liens, and payment remediesQualificationsConstruction law experience, including contracts, disputes, claims, or project supportExperience drafting and negotiating construction or development-related agreementsFamiliarity with risk allocation among owners, contractors, design professionals, and other project stakeholdersExposure to real estate development, project-based legal work, or construction-related commercial transactionsStrong writing, analytical, and client-service skillsJD from an accredited law school; active bar admission and good standingAbility to provide a legal writing sample during the interview processWhy This OpportunityJoin a growing, high-priority construction practiceWork on sophisticated construction, development, and project-related mattersGain direct interaction with senior attorneys and decision-makersStrong compensation range with a reasonable billable requirement for the marketLong-term career growth within a highly respected law firm platform
