Students of the Upper Moreland Township School District will be provided with the foundation and skills necessary to excel in the exciting, complex, and interdependent world in which they live.SummaryThe Summer Maintenance/Grounds/Student Substitute Custodian maintains the safety and cleanliness of the assigned facility and performs light maintenance as directed. This position may be filled by current Upper Moreland School District students.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following(Other appropriate duties may be assigned.)Maintains the cleanliness of assigned bathroom areas and replenishes supplies, including, but not limited to, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, and paper towel dispensers, as assigned.Cleans and maintains assigned areas, including, but not limited to, emptying trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping/wet mopping, and washing surfaces on a daily basis as assigned.Light painting as assigned.Provide set-up assistance, including chairs, tables, etc, as assigned.Performs grounds/maintenance work as assigned.Maintains cleanliness of the outside area surrounding the facility as assigned.Secures facility as assigned.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must have a current Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.No minimum educational requirement; may be a current Upper Moreland School District student.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Previous grounds experience preferred but not requiredAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl during shift.Ability to work independently and maintain security of the buildingMust successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.The position holder must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
