ADA Specialist
ADA Specialist King of Prussia, PA 6+ months contractThe ADA Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act by managing workplace accommodations, evaluating accessibility, and facilitating the interactive process for employees with disabilities. They act as liaisons between employees, management, and medical providers to implement reasonable accommodations and prevent discrimination.Essential Functions:These essential functions are statements documenting the specific and important tasks required to achieve results which the position is created to do.Essential job functions are tasks that the employee must be able to perform- no function should be labeled as essential if the current incumbent is not required to perform the task. Items should be limited to two (2) sentences and should be concisely described.Manage the interactive process with employees and their healthcare providers to evaluate and implement reasonable accommodation requests under the ADA/ADAAA.Collaborate with managers, HR Business Partners, and legal counsel to assess operational impact of proposed accommodations.Maintain thorough documentation of all accommodation requests, decisions, and follow-up actions in case management systems.Monitor and track open accommodation cases to ensure timely resolution and compliance.Conduct regular reviews of existing accommodations to assess continued effectiveness and necessity.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, other related field, or equivalent work experience3-5 years of experience leading and administering ADA programs in multiple states for medium to large organizations. Certification: PHR , SHRM- CP, CLMS, or ADAC preferredKnowledge of state paid family and medical leaves preferred.Ability to work independently to analyze data and provide management with sound recommendations regarding leave of absence programs (process, communication, vendor management, recommendations) that support employees needs.Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel and experience with case management technology platforms and vendors.
