Chemical and Allied Products Merchant WholesalersRemediation and Other Waste Management ServicesBasic Chemical ManufacturingScientific Research and Development ServicesResin, Synthetic Rubber, and Artificial and Synthetic Fibers and Filaments ManufacturingJob Description:Supports multiple (LAB, URE, PLA) by providing: 1) Shipping of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Chemicals, 2) Receiving chemicals and non-chemical packages, 3) Utilization of SAP functions to deliver 1 and 2 (including SAP's Warehouse function), 4) Support the STO (Stock Transfer Order) of chemicals to/from Naugatuck, 5) Maintain Stockroom including Procurement aspects, 6) Support HSE Activities as needed (chemical waste functions, solvent pour-offs, etc)Main Responsibilities:Ship chemicals, approximately 1 shipment per dayReceive chemicals from internal (using SAP) and external sources, distributeReceive non-chemical shipments, coordinate distributionProvide "Warehouse" Stock Order Transfer function in SAP to receive or ship chemicals internallyMaintain chemical lab supply Stockroom. Procure goods, distribute or stock area on deliveryAssist HSE Specialist with relevant tasks as required. This could include inspections, chemical waste management, etcSome minor laboratory "Lab Assistant" work, if schedule permits.Chemical shipping involves many guidelines and regulations. The challenge is to follow sometimes complex regulations that are subject to change. This function requires frequent use of SAP and the Warehouse module, which has many challenges. Troubleshooting SAP roadblocks with other system experts is a frequent activity.Chromatography, Thermal Analysis, Classical Analysis - execute experiments, interpret technical data, write technical reports at the Chemist III development level. This includes training Jr and Sr staff in these advanced techniques to create high-impact business value in delivering Regulatory compliance, new product development, customer non-conformance quality issues, and troubleshooting manufacturing problems.Skills/Experience:HS. Junior College preferred3-5 years Experiene required.Hazardous materials training for Ground Transportation. Certification after 2020Dangerous goods materials training for Air Transportation. Certification after 2021Knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management
