ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionAs a Hotel Engineer II, you serve as an experienced maintenance professional responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex building systems. You are a key contributor to operational reliability, compliance, and team mentorship.This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who can work independently and lead projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Maintenance & Systems OversightIndependently troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and spa systemsPerform advanced diagnostics and system repairsLead preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance documentation is maintainedOversee daily hot tub chemical testing and regulatory compliance (where applicable)Operational LeadershipMonitor and prioritize maintenance requestsDelegate tasks to Engineer I team members as appropriateAssist with training and skill development of junior engineersSupport emergency response and after-hours repairsVendor & Compliance ManagementCoordinate and oversee third-party vendors and service contractorsEnsure compliance with town codes, fire safety regulations, and brand standardsAssist with inventory management and supply orderingSupport budgeting and cost control effortsProperty StandardsConduct facility inspections and proactively address concernsMaintain appearance standards across all public and back-of-house areasSupport capital improvement projects as assignedWho You Are4-7+ years hotel, resort, or commercial maintenance experienceStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systemsAbility to independently diagnose and resolve complex issuesExperience working with vendors and contractorsStrong documentation and computer skillsAbility to mentor and guide othersPhysical RequirementsAble to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionallyComfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling throughout shiftAble to respond quickly to emergencies and reach all areas of the hotelWillingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidaysAbout Gravity HausGravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand with hotels, restaurants, and experiences that empower a modern way of travel.
