This role designs, builds, and optimizes data transformations that power enterprise integrations and business applications - translating complex business rules into performant SQL logic across ERP, order management, warehouse, and e-commerce systems, and automating processes with Python.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop complex SQL transformations supporting enterprise integrations between core systems (ERP, order management, warehouse management, product data, and e-commerce platforms)Implement business logic in SQL - stored procedures, views, functions, and transformation layersDevelop and maintain Python scripts for data movement, validation, automation, file processing, and API-based integrationsPerform query and database performance tuning: analyze execution plans, optimize indexing, refactor inefficient queriesSupport ETL/ELT pipelines across on-prem (DB2/iSeries, SQL Server) and cloud (Azure) environmentsPartner with integration developers to define data mappings, transformation rules, and reconciliation logicConduct data profiling, root-cause analysis, and data quality remediation for production issuesDocument data models, transformation logic, and technical designsCollaborate with business analysts, QA, and cross-functional IT teams in onsite/offshore modelRequired SkillsX+ years of hands-on SQL development: complex joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, set-based transformation logicX+ years of Python scripting (pandas, pyodbc/SQLAlchemy, REST API consumption)Expertise in performance tuning: execution plans, index design, statistics management, query refactoring on large datasetsExperience with at least one enterprise RDBMS at scale (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills across multiple systems
