Join a forward-thinking team and help maintain and retrofit the next generation of fleet vehicles.Pay & SchedulePay: £40,000- £50,000Schedule: Thursday- Monday 6:00AM- 2:30PMWhy Technicians Choose AmeritWeekly Pay - Reliable paycheck every Friday Benefits Start Fast - Medical, dental, vision within 30 days 401(k) Match - Plan for your future Paid Time Off - Vacation, holidays, and sick time Boot Allowance & Safety Gear Reimbursement Training Through Amerit University ASE Certification Reimbursement & Bonuses Employee Referral Bonuses (Up to $500) Career Advancement Opportunities NationwideWhat You'll DoPerform service, repair, and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and integrated systems of electric autonomous vehiclesDiagnose nuanced mechanical, electrical, A/C, and autonomous vehicle systemsConduct complex hardware (HW) retrofits and AV hardware replacementsPerform software and firmware updatesCollaborate with engineering and service teams to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issuesCreate repair orders and accurately document work performed, including diagnosis, procedures, and parts usedParticipate in fleet-wide hardware and software retrofitsFollow safety protocols and maintain a strong focus on quality and precisionParticipate in continuing education and training to stay current with autonomous vehicle technologyWhat We're Looking For5+ years of hands-on automotive and electric vehicle experience, including brakes, advanced suspension, alignment, electrical repair, and diagnosisStrong ability to diagnose nuanced mechanical, electrical, A/C, and AV/EV systemsExperience with complex hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacementValid driver's licenseAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive shop equipment (impact guns, lifts, jacks, etc.)Solid computer skills with a strong aptitude for learning new technology and softwareExcellent communication skills and ability to give/receive clear feedbackA learning mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProven commitment to safety and high-quality workAbility to perform physical work (detailed below)Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)Working ConditionsThis role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
