Sr. Java Developer (Microservices, Kafka, Cloud)Position: ContractInterview Process: 2 rounds of Video Interview (Technical)Summary of the project/initiative:This is for Offer Management team which supports digital marketing of offers for members through inbound and outbound marketing channels.This resource will be supporting an upcoming project for Enterprise Advocacy integration with Offer Management to present offers on a dashboard to Advocacy members.Describe the team: Offer Management tech team, onshore - 3, offshore - 15. Break-down of the team: PM, Delivery Lead, Developers/QA, Cloud DevOps Engineer.Top 5-10 responsibilities:Design and develop reusable Microservice capabilities that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented development, Microservices, SOA, data access layer management, usability, debugging, and configuration management.Perform software quality assurance, including integrated automated testing.Build in monitoring instrumentation into applications.Collaborate with offshore team on project delivery.Understand and provide technical support for complex integration testing scenarios - API, Kafka.Maintain documentation on existing and new components in the system.Continually monitor industry developments in data developments tools, and products used in the continuous delivery model.Lead solving complex problems and/or conduct complex analysis.Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues.Coach, provide feedback and guide others.Identify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems.Worked in cloud infrastructure like Azure.Top 3 Skills:5+ years of experience in Java, Experience building batch/back end applications based on Micro services Architecture3+ years of experience in Kafka2+ years of experience on any cloud technology (Azure/AWS/GCP)Ideal candidate background:8+ years of experience in JavaExperience developing RESTful APIs or RESTful web servicesExperience using Java and the Spring Framework including Springboot, Kafka using any RDBMS or any DB.
