Job Title: Contracting/Purchasing OfficerSummaryThe Contracting Officer supports the procurement function by acquiring goods and services and administering contracts across multiple departments. This role manages moderate to complex procurements, negotiates terms, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage sourcing, bidding, evaluation, and issuance of purchase ordersNegotiate contract terms, pricing, and specifications with suppliersConduct cost and price analyses and recommend best‑value optionsAdminister contracts and purchase orders through completionPrepare procurement justifications and maintain audit‑ready documentationCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendorsProcess and reconcile purchasing transactions, including credit card activityQualificationsBachelor's degree and 4 years of purchasing/contracting experience, or 6 years of related experienceStrong communication, organization, and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferredAdvanced degree or professional procurement certificationExperience in regulated or government procurement environments All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
