Students will gain skills and experience working in a team environment, professional development, job performance, manual labor, sustainable food production, and a deeper connection to the food system. The primary work expectation of this position will be vegetable production on Tabler Student Farm 1-acre vegetable plot and includes seeding and transplanting, bed preparation, pest management, harvest and packing, and vending at our farmer's markets. Willingness to execute manual labor duties in a range of outdoor environmental conditions is essential to this position.No previous farming experience required. Minimum QualificationsEnrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Shepherd University.Degree-seeking student.Must have reliable transportation. The site is located 2 miles off of main campus.
