Associate Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Associate Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering and design for industrial manufacturing, data center, mission-critical, and selected energy infrastructure projects.The Associate Electrical Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to develop electrical design deliverables from preliminary planning through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their experience in industrial and mission-critical facility design and develop toward greater project responsibility.The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical engineering and an interest in facility power systems. Experience with medium-voltage distribution, emergency and standby power, generators, UPS systems, or battery energy storage is a plus but is not required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport electrical design for industrial, manufacturing, data center, and mission-critical facilities.Assist with power distribution, lighting, grounding and bonding, emergency and standby power, and life-safety systems.Prepare and update one-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, equipment schedules, and electrical plans under the direction of senior engineers.Assist with the design and coordination of transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, ATS, and other electrical equipment.Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, process, civil/structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.Collaborate with cross-country engineering and project teams to coordinate design activities, deliverables, and project execution.Assist with client, utility, vendor, contractor, and authority coordination.Support permitting, plan-check responses, RFIs, submittal reviews, and construction-related activities.Participate in site visits, field investigations, equipment inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as needed.Assist senior engineers with technical calculations, specifications, design documentation, and QA/QC reviews.Develop proficiency in applicable codes, standards, design practices, and engineering software.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.2–5 years of relevant electrical engineering or electrical design experience preferred.Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and facility electrical systems.Familiarity with the NEC and applicable NFPA standards.Ability to read and develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Proficiency in Revit is required.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Preferred QualificationsExperience with industrial manufacturing, data centers, mission-critical facilities, or commercial/industrial buildings.Exposure to medium-voltage distribution, generators, UPS systems, ATS/paralleling systems, substations, BESS, or redundant power systems.Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, Revit, AutoCAD, or comparable engineering tools.EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.Multi-state engineering experience or interest in pursuing additional state licenses is a plus.Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred but not required.
