Website EngineerLocation: Remote (EST/CST Preferred)ContractPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a Website Engineer to support and enhance the organization's web environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of website infrastructure, WordPress administration, integrations, and cybersecurity.Working alongside the Website Manager and Marketing Technology team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the technical health of the organization's WordPress environment, implementing enhancements, managing integrations, and ensuring the website remains secure, reliable, and high performing.Key Responsibilities• Administer, maintain, and enhance the organization's WordPress website.• Implement website functionality, enhancements, and technical improvements.• Manage website integrations with internal and third-party applications.• Support website hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, and Cloudflare services.• Monitor website performance, uptime, and overall health.• Apply cybersecurity best practices to protect web infrastructure.• Assist with penetration testing remediation and vulnerability management.• Maintain WordPress plugins, themes, and updates.• Troubleshoot website issues and coordinate resolutions across technical teams.• Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement new website capabilities.• Provide technical support for HubSpot and other marketing technology integrations as needed.Required Qualifications• 5+ years of experience supporting and administering WordPress websites.• Strong understanding of website infrastructure, hosting, DNS, SSL, and web technologies.• Experience implementing and supporting website integrations.• Experience with Cloudflare or similar CDN and web security platforms.• Knowledge of website security, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices.• Experience troubleshooting complex technical website issues.• Strong understanding of web architecture and infrastructure concepts.Preferred Qualifications• Experience supporting HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation platform.• Experience with API integrations and web services.• Background in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or Web Platform support.• Familiarity with penetration testing remediation.• Experience supporting cloud-hosted web environments.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a technical professional who understands both the infrastructure behind a website and the technologies required to keep it secure, integrated, and running efficiently. This person is comfortable owning the technical aspects of a WordPress environment while partnering with marketing and business teams to support website initiatives and integrations.Candidates with backgrounds such as Website Infrastructure Engineer, Web Platform Engineer, Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or Web Systems Engineer will be particularly successful in this role.
