Mechanic – Powder River BasinJob SummaryThis position is in Western Midstream Rockies Region as a member of the PRB Midstream organization in Gillette, WY.QualificationsMinimum 1-year experience in oil and gas required, three years preferredAbility to work in cooperative team environmentComputer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook is requiredKnowledge in maintenance and operation of gas engines and compressors preferredKnowledge in maintenance and operation of gas processing plant equipment including various types of pumps, fans, blowers and filters preferredResponsibilitiesAdhere to and enforce all applicable company, state and federal safety and environmental regulationsMaintain gathering and processing equipment including gas engines, electric motors, compressors, pumps, coolers and other rotating equipmentRead and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures to make necessary repairsOrganize and maintain equipment records with preventative and predictive maintenance programsRespond to call out requests as needed for maintenance and emergency situationsAccountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environmentWork closely with representatives of equipment manufacturersWork around heavy equipment and in variable environmental conditionsMaintain good housekeeping practicesObtain and maintain relevant certification for maintenance tasks on equipment in area of responsibilityMaintain communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including plant and field supervision, operations, I&E, other maintenance employees, clerical staff, and contractorsMaintain truck and tools including minor maintenance of truck and attachments to ensure proper working condition at all timesProvide individual accountability for hand tools and other specialty diagnostic equipmentEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Certifications/LicensesCandidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle. Relevant Gas and Electric driven compression package certifications preferredRelocationThis position is not eligible for domestic relocation.Travel RequirementsThe percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.Work ScheduleThis position is on a shift schedule and may be required to work overtime, weekends, on call, and holidays.
