Senior Estimator – Milling & PavingLocation: Palmer, MAJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: $100,000 – $125,000About the RoleA well-established construction materials and infrastructure services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead and oversee the estimating function across a range of large-scale road construction and paving projects.This organisation operates across multiple sites, delivering high-quality materials and services to public and private sector clients, with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and mentor a team of estimators to deliver accurate and competitive bidsReview project plans and specifications to define scope and prepare estimatesProduce detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and supporting documentationConduct market analysis and review historical project data to inform pricingAssign estimating responsibilities across multiple projectsIdentify project risks and assess potential cost impactsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracyBuild and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendorsEvaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for competitiveness and complianceEnsure familiarity and compliance with relevant Department of Transportation specificationsRequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)Minimum 5 years' experience in asphalt paving or heavy highway construction estimatingProven track record estimating projects valued between $5M and $25MStrong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., B2W) and Microsoft Office toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLegal authorisation to work in the United StatesAdditional InformationTravel up to 20% across regional offices and project sites may be requiredCombination of office-based work and site visitsRole involves standard office tasks alongside field-based activities
