We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals. Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Administer medications and monitor health conditions Implement behavior management strategies and provide emotional support Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings Document individual progress and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisor Required Skills: Experience working with individuals with autism, hospice care, or senior care is a plus 1-year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals Computer literacy using Microsoft Word; familiar Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and other team members Understanding of resident rights and ability to advocate for individual needs Must be 21 years of age or older Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Overnight shift Overtime Weekends as needed Ability to Relocate: Asbury Park, NJ: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
