An industrial parts distributor in the Miami, FL area is seeking a Inventory Planning Supervisor - Procurement / SCM.Responsibilities of Inventory Planning Supervisor - Procurement / SCM:Manage the overall procurement function for parts and accessories for the LATAM and Caribbean regionsResponsible for completing SCM related tasks and activities in alignment with standard operating procedures, owning issues and solving problems in collaboration with other departments to deliver measurable business resultsPartners with and leverages internal cross functional teams to deliver high quality and prompt customer service that is in line with customer expectationsWork with internal customers to understand business requirements and ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policiesPrepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports. Keep management informed of key issues and forward weekly status and other reports as requested. Identify new requirements for reports as part of the continuous improvement processAnalyzes the supplier’s performance and develops and implements strategies for improvement. Take ownership and meet established departmental KPIs. Review and make recommendations to senior management regarding process improvementStays abreast of product launches and ensures adequate stock availability of parts and accessories. Anticipates shortage concerns and monitors suppliers in-process orders to account for volume changes. Identify and report potential supply chain related problems in a proactive manner in an effort to increase overall efficiency and productivityEnsure vendor/supplier conformance to company's policy and procedures to eliminate any supply interruptionOther job duties are assigned as neededRequired of Inventory Planning Supervisor - Procurement / SCM:Bachelor's Degree with Supply Chain, Business, and/or related discipline5+ years of experience in Operations, Purchasing / Supply Chain Management, Logistics in distribution environmentProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Strong communication skills in English (Speaking / Reading / Writing)Spanish Language skills are huge plusStrong analytical skillsAbility to travel internationally up to 10% of timeWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
