Therapist

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Therapist based in Powhatan, VA, with some flexibility for remote work. The Therapist will be responsible for providing counseling and therapeutic services to clients, conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting client progress. The role includes collaboration with other professionals, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to ethical guidelines. Regular communication with clients, families, and other stakeholders is expected to ensure comprehensive support and care. Qualifications A strong foundation in counseling and therapeutic approaches, including active listening, assessment, and treatment planningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teamsProficiency in maintaining detailed client records and adhering to confidentiality standardsUnderstanding of mental health topics and therapies, with the ability to tailor approaches to individual client needsMaster’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related fieldLicensure or licensure eligibility in the state of Virginia (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT)Independent and team-working capabilities, with organizational skills and attention to detailExperience in providing therapy to diverse populations is preferred
