Retail Cashier - Part Time

DEPARTMENT: Retail Store REPORTS TO: Store ManagerFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptPOSITION TYPE: Part-TimePOSITION SUMMARY:Cashiers are responsible for responding to customer inquiries, providing support throughout their shopping experience in-person and over the phone, processing sales using a cash register, obtaining different methods of payment, and addressing customer complaints.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Process customer transactions using scanner and POS system2. Collect payment from customers and make change for cash transactions3. Give printed receipts and invoices to customer4. Refer customer complaints to management5. Safety awareness of anything in store that may be hazard to employees or customers6. Balance cash drawer7. Keep work area clean and organized8. Stock merchandise on shelves at the front lanes9. Bring in carts from outside10. Additional duties, as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must have a friendly and outgoing personality2. Must possess strong work ethic and interpersonal skills3. Basic computer skills4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule5.
