This position will represent the athletics director in various capacities. License/Certification Required Preferred Qualifications2+ years of full-time experience leading a pitching unit2+ years of proven experience in developing pitchersDemonstrated ability to identify and recruit at the highest levelEssential Duties and Responsibilities Appalachian State University is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support a competitive NCAA Division I softball program committed to academic integrity, competitive excellence, social responsibility, and a world-class student-athlete experience. This position assists the head coach in all aspects of the program, including recruiting and retaining high-caliber student-athletes, on-field instruction and player development, and mentoring student-athletes to succeed academically, athletically, and personally. Primary responsibility is to serve as the pitching coach. Other responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of a Division I softball program including, but not limited to: All aspects related to on and off campus recruitingAssisting recruiting coordinator in recruiting-related activitiesCommunity service planning and engagementPoint of contact with SAAC and team SAAC representativesOther duties as assigned by the head coachType of Position Full Time Position Staff/Non-Faculty Staff/Non-Faculty VISA Sponsorship?
