About the Company My client is expanding their team for a major 3-year utility project in Texas. They are a trusted provider of critical DC power solutions and are looking for skilled Field Service Technicians to support mission-critical infrastructure, including battery systems and backup power. About the Role This is a hands-on position installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced DC backup power systems. You’ll be part of a team that keeps essential services running for utilities, industrial facilities, and other critical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, commission, and maintain DC chargers and battery monitoring systems Add, remove, and replace VLA, VRLA, and NiCad batteries Use multimeters, amp clamps, specific gravity meters, and specialized battery testing tools/software Prepare service reports and assist with project documentation Coordinate with site contacts to resolve work variances and unexpected issues Perform daily and weekly safety and quality inspections Lead and mentor junior technicians as needed Follow all safety and compliance standards, including HAZMAT and DOT requirements Skills Needed High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or training preferred 3–5 years of experience with DC power systems preferred Strong electrical or mechanical background Comfortable working at heights and lifting 50–60 lbs regularly Valid driver’s license and xywuqvp ability to pass background and drug screenings Proficiency with Microsoft Office, laptops, tablets, and mobile apps Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Benefits Offered Competitive hourly pay ($35–40/hr) + overtime & per diem Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Paid time off & holidays Paid training and career advancement opportunities Travel reimbursements
