Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why you'll love this jobThis position is a member of the Regulatory Compliance team within the Safety Division.You will manage formal regulatory correspondence between American Airlines and government agencies, primarily the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and lead root cause investigations of global compliance issues to ensure alignment with applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).What You'll DoAs noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Lead root cause compliance investigations of global, systemic issues and help business units determine appropriate corrective actions and identify system contributing factors of compliance escapesLeverage data to assess operational inefficiencies, validate compliance findings, and monitor effectiveness of corrective actionsEnsure all FAA correspondence meets established standards and regulatory expectationsTrack and monitor corrective actions associated with regulatory correspondenceServe as a liaison with the FAA and other regulatory agenciesProvide oversight on regulatory compliance issues to internal stakeholdersManage correspondence within ETQ for tracking, trending, and reporting purposesParticipate in working groups, Data Analysis Groups (DAG) meetingsProvide support to Legal as neededCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organizationAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceExperience with just culture principles, root cause investigations, and Safety Management Systems (SMS)Broad knowledge of airline operations and/or airworthinessUnderstanding of FAA regulationsPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceDegree in a related field or equivalent experienceTechnical Operational experienceStrong attention to detail and ability to assess cross-functional impacts and dependenciesDemonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressureSkills, Licenses & CertificationsAbility to work in a team environmentMust work will with deadlinesExcellent analytical skills, with the ability to prepare reports based on data analysisAbility to interact with various levels of management and regulatory agenciesEffective organization and planning skillsExcellent interpersonal and written skillsProficient with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)What You'll GetFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
