Job SummaryThe Freezer Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders in a freezer environment within a food distribution warehouse. This role requires working in sub-zero temperatures, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining high productivity and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately pick and assemble Hucks Market orders using RF scannersOperate electric pallet jacks to transport productsWork in a freezer environment (typically 10°F to 0°F) while following safety proceduresStack, wrap, and stage pallets for shippingEnsure product quality and correct quantities are selectedMaintain cleanliness and organization of the work areaFollow all company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standardsReport damaged products, equipment issues, or discrepancies to supervisorsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)Previous warehouse or order selecting experience preferred (especially in freezer or cold storage environments)Ability to operate warehouse equipment (training may be provided)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to read and understand order sheets or use electronic picking systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in extreme cold conditions for extended periodsFrequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–70 lbsStand, walk, bend, and reach for long periodsAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environmentWork EnvironmentFreezer warehouse setting with temperatures below freezingExposure to powered industrial equipment and moving machineryMay require overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needsCompensation & BenefitsHourly wage + productivity incentivesShift differentials for freezer workHealth, dental, and vision insuranceOpportunity to join our ESOP ProgramPaid time off and holidays401(k) with company match
