Days per year: 187Minimum Salary: $20,944Mid Salary: $24,639JOB TITLE: Hall Monitor, High SchoolREPORTS TO: Campus PrincipalPAY GRADE: Para 1PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Hall Monitor will provide clerical support, disciplinary support, and staff support to assigned personnel and provide information and/or direction as it may be requested.All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate in a clear and respectful manner and seek to continuously improve self-performance and processes.QUALIFICATIONS: Required:48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or universityPass Spring Independent School District's NCLB test in the area of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics (Tests are administered after the recommendation for hire)Educational Aide II Certificate (or be willing to obtain) Preferred:One+ years job related experienceAssociate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Strong organizational and people skillsAbility to communicate effectively to students and staffAbility to move about campus constantlyMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Assist with document preparation as neededAssist with student management in and around campus common areasParticipate in staff development and faculty meetings as assignedMonitor halls during the school dayLunchroom and bus dutyProvide disciplinary support for students and teachersPerform all other duties as assignedWORKING/SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following:Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, moderate standing, stooping, bending, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. May require some lifting no more than 10lbs.
