X-Ray Tech Location: Hartsville, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,406 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/18/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Must hold a state Radiology Tech license. Certifications: Must possess BLS certification, RD ARRT certification, and be registered through the local Radiation Quality Standards Association. Must-Have: - Familiarity with GE X-ray equipment and C-arms in the operating room. Description: Administers roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operates X-ray equipment and develops files. Prepares the patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-rays. Adjusts equipment, determines proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain the proper position of the patient. Adjusts the lead shield and selects the proper film. Determines technique for ionizing radiation during radiologic exams. Prepares barium preparation and other chemical mixtures for X-rays. Observes the patient and machine during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences and recording the patient's condition. Develops film in accordance with photographic techniques. Cleans and disinfects the X-ray room and equipment. Prepares patients for X-rays by explaining procedures. Transfers patients to the table and assists them at the end of procedures. Explains the exam and equipment to patients and/or family members. Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties. Writes reports and takes mobile X-ray units to patients’ rooms. Inspects emergency trays and writes weekly reports. Transports patients and maintains radiographic technique charts.
