Portico has an amazing opportunity to join our team as an Area Leasing Specialist! This position will support multiple rental communities within our East Texas portfolio.Job SummaryThe Area Leasing Specialist provides leasing, marketing, and resident service support to multiple apartment communities within an assigned region. This role focuses on driving occupancy, supporting renewals, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting on-site teams with leasing and marketing initiatives. The Area Leasing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a consistent, high-quality leasing experience across communities.Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & SalesRespond promptly to phone, email, and online leasing inquiriesConvert leads into tours and lease applicationsConduct professional, personalized tours and present community features and amenitiesProcess applications, verify documentation, and communicate approval or denial within required timelinesPrepare lease files, move-in documentation, keys, and welcome materialsCoordinate move-ins and communicate timelines with office and maintenance teamsPromote rentable items such as garages, parking, and appliancesMarketing & OutreachEnsure leasing offices, models, and tour paths are clean, welcoming, and tour-readySupport outreach activities, marketing initiatives, and community eventsAssist with competitor market surveys and data collectionParticipate in marketing and leasing meetings as assignedResident Relations & RetentionDeliver responsive, courteous, and professional service to residents and prospectsAssist with renewals, lease expirations, and notices-to-vacateDocument resident requests and coordinate with maintenance teams as neededSupport resident satisfaction and retention initiativesAdministrative & Office SupportMaintain accurate and timely data entry in property management systemsOrganize leasing files, reports, and marketing materialsRespond to emails, messages, and inquiries promptlyFollow company safety policies and Fair Housing guidelinesTeam CollaborationPartner effectively with on-site management, leasing, and maintenance teamsSupport leasing needs across multiple communities within the regionAssist with special projects and additional assignments as neededQualificationsExperience & Education6+ months of leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experienceSkills & CompetenciesStrong customer service, sales, and communication skillsAbility to build rapport and close leases effectivelyOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience with property management software such as OneSite, Yardi, or similar preferredKnowledge of Fair Housing regulationsPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 poundsWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsWeekends, overtime, and travel between communities may be requiredWork may occur in a pet-friendly environmentOur Company is an equal Opportunity Employer.
