This role leads regional field execution through direct customer engagement and the effective management of independent sales representatives, while owning relationships with key wholesale and retail accounts within the region.The USSM serves as Dayco's primary commercial leader in the region, ensuring consistent execution of national strategies, programs, pricing, and product initiatives while delivering strong regional performance against revenue, margin, and market share objectives.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesOwn and deliver regional sales performance for the Light Duty Wholesale Aftermarket, including revenue, margin, and market share objectivesExecute national sales strategies and translate them into actionable regional plansDrive new business development and expansion within existing accountsRecruit, develop, and manage independent sales representatives within the assigned regionSet clear expectations, performance targets, and accountability for repsConduct regular field travel alongside reps to coach, influence, and improve executionMonitor competitive activity, pricing, private label trends, and regional market dynamicsProvide actionable market feedback to sales, marketing, and product teamsIdentify regional opportunities and risks impacting demand, mix, and profitabilityPartner with Marketing, Product Management, Demand Planning, and Customer Service to ensure strong customer support and executionCoordinate technical, training, and program support to maximize customer satisfaction and replacement ratesEducation & Experience10+ years of experience in Light Duty automotive aftermarket sales, preferably wholesale focusedProven success managing regional territories and independent sales representativesEstablished relationships with aftermarket wholesalersStrong understanding of product categories such as belts, hoses, tensioners, kits, and related engine drive componentsDemonstrated ability to drive sales growth, execute programs, and manage customer relationshipsMinimum Education RequiredBachelor's DegreeKnowledge, Skills & BehaviorsExperience working with national retail accounts and regional wholesalersPrior leadership or team management experienceStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skillsRequired Technical SkillsAutomotive & Product Knowledge Light Duty aftermarket productsData and analytical skills to analyze Regional sales trends, market share shifts, pricing dynamics and competitive activityCommunication & Presentation ToolsUnderstanding of wholesale distribution models, national and regional retail account structures, independent rep agency management and promotional programs, rebates, and pricing strategy.SubordinatesBusiness Development ManagersWORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDSUp to 50–60% regional travel, including customer visits, ride alongs, trade shows, and internal meetingsJ-18808-Ljbffr
