Accounting Manager (Interim)Location: Fully Remote - office located in Long BeachCompensation: $40-55/hour, based on experienceEmployment Type: Contract for 3-6 monthsPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions while leading the month-end close and financial reporting processes. This role will manage a team, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams and daily operationsOversee the month-end and year-end close, including review of journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare and analyze financial results, including variance analysis and supporting schedulesEnsure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and controlsReview and approve vendor payments and corporate credit card reconciliationsMonitor AP processes to ensure alignment with vendor contracts and payment termsIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operationsProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to accounting staffSupport audits and assist with ad hoc projects and financial initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience2–3+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger processesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and leadership abilitiesEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:• The California Fair Chance Act• Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance• Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers• San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
