Job DescriptionEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage schedule and procedures of the Machine DepartmentProgram and operate CNC Machines to produce product from drawings, in accordance with established procedures, with limited supervision. Perform set-ups of various CNCs. Must be knowledgeable of G & M codes. Edit CNC programs for tool and / or design changes. Set up and operate manual lathe and mills. Knowledge on all measuring equipment. Edit and verify first article component run. Resolve and optimize variation of material removal rate. Operate all equipment in prudent and safe manner. Maintain a professional relationship with co-workers. Knowledge on machine tool preventative maintenance. Must work well with others. Must be willing to be cross trained to perform different functions. Insure quality procedures are followed throughout the department; insuring improved product quality, reduced scrap/rework rates, and continuous improvement which advances company quality policy.
