ResponsibilitiesServing as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the campusEstablishing and securing the clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing programsSoliciting ideas for potential clinical sites from faculty, administration and staff and completing an assessment of the clinical site in relation to curricular and course outcomesMaking clinical site visits during student experiences ensuring all requirements delineated within clinical affiliation agreements are upheldDeveloping effective business relationships and facilitating clear communication with clinical leadershipSecuring clinical sites to assure full implementation of the clinical component of the nursing programsCollaborating with course faculty to coordinate and arrange for the preceptorship experienceMeeting regularly with Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Campus Executive Director to forecast clinical site needs in the marketActing as an ambassador for the College in all interactions with clinical facilities, clinical faculty, students and othersCompleting assessments of potential sites through site visits, census assessments, and course evaluationsDocumenting findings and making recommendations for future site utilizationDeveloping and facilitating Clinical Appreciation DayCoordinating ordering and distribution of clinical facility appreciation giftsEstablishing and participating in regular meetings with all clinical sitesCommunicating issues, concerns and needs related to use of clinical sites with Director of Nursing in a timely mannerPerforming quarterly site visits during clinical experiences as agreed upon with Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to observe and evaluate clinical component of the curriculumMaintaining awareness of student and faculty evaluations of clinical sites in determining appropriateness of sites in implementing the clinical component of the curriculumSharing results with clinical sites in a positive and professional manner with the goal of improving the educational experience and quality of care providedCoordinating Career Fairs at the College and clinical siteRecruiting faculty to grow the College’s roster of potential facultyPromoting the Hondros College RN-BSN program to clinical site staff nursesAccepting equipment donations for campus nursing labsRequirementsMaster’s Degree with a major in nursing.At least three years full-time in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse or part-time equivalentPrior teaching in a professional nursing program preferredActive OH RN license that has never been encumberedCurrent American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationGeneral Credentialing RequirementsApplicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start.
