Material Handler (3rd Shift)
M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced injection molding environment where safety, material accuracy, and cleanliness are essential to keeping production running efficiently.The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining proper materials and colors at assigned injection presses, clearing jams under presses and within conveying systems, and maintaining cleanliness around equipment. This role supports processors during changeovers, assists with grinding production scrap throughout the shift, and helps ensure accurate material handling and inventory tracking. The position also provides training and development opportunities to advance into a future Processor role.Schedule: 3rd Shift, 11PM-7AMKey ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environmentMaintain proper material and color levels at each injection press throughout the shift, supporting optimized use of regrind and pelletized material; may require use of a manual pallet jack or forkliftPerform color or material changes as requested by work ordersEnsure materials are blended at proper ratiosRemove lids, pails, and scrap from under or around machines and record rejectsReweigh and label materials after useTrack material movement using RF scanners to maintain accurate inventory levelsClear empty gaylords from the floor; clean excess material and remove old labelsBreak down empty gaylords and transport them to designated holding areasMaintain a clean and organized work areaParticipate in training to support advancement into a future Processor roleQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsMechanical aptitudeBasic math skillsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordKnowledge of Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) preferredEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required Licenses & CertificationsForklift Certification required ExperienceThree (3) or more years of hands-on experience in injection molding preferred Physical RequirementsAbility to perform lifting, extended standing, and walking throughout the shiftAbility to work in a manufacturing environment that may include hot or cold conditionsAbility to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
