Expression of Interest: Postdoctoral Researcher in Safety and Risk EngineeringThe Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC) is the world's foremost university-based Process Safety Center. The Center serves industry, government, academia, and the public. MKOPSC is seeking the interest of a motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Safety and Risk Engineering researchers team. MKOPSC provides a unique opportunity for talented and skilled individuals to enhance their skills, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to the field.Responsibilities:Conduct advanced-level research on process safety and risk engineering, consequence analysis, hazard identification, and sustainable energy.Work with researchers and industry experts to create novel safety solutions.Design and conduct experiments, collect, understand, analyze, and interpret research data and findings.Learn the latest advancements and research work in safety and risk engineering. Take research initiatives and contribute to ongoing projects in the Center.Publish research findings in reputable scientific safety and risk engineering journals and present work at conferences.Requirements:Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Safety Engineering, Risk Engineering, or a related field.Strong understanding of the safety of emerging energy technologies and energy transitions.Desire to contribute to the Center's progress through fundamental scientific and technological achievements in safety and risk engineering.
