Network & Systems Administrator — Juniper focusLocation: Annapolis, MD onsiteEnvironment: 24/7/365 mission critical public safety systemsRole:Provide L3 support and maintain customer s global network/server infrastructure. Monitor systems, resolve incidents, execute upgrades/patching, ensure security/compliance, automate workflows, and support cloud/on prem environments. Includes shift work, on call, and periodic international travel.Key Duties:- L3 incident response and SLA driven resolution- Continuous monitoring of networks, systems, and cloud- Design/maintain secure, redundant network architectures- Patching, hardening, compliance, and upgrades- Manage accounts, access, licenses, and asset inventory- Maintain documentation; mentor junior staffRequired Qualifications:- Bachelor’s in IT/CS/Telecom- Juniper JNCIP (Routing/Switching + Security)- Red Hat RHCE + Security SpecialistRequired Experience:- 3+ years senior admin in 24/7/NOC environment- ISP/telecom or carrier grade networking- Linux virtualization (OpenStack, VMware, Azure)- VPNs, VLANs, firewalls; Cisco/Juniper/FRR- Bash, Python, Ansible automation- RHEL (IdM, Satellite, licensing)- IDS configuration/hardening- Grafana/Prometheus/Loki/ThanosRequired Skills:- Strong communication; clear incident reporting- Deep routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, eVPN, etc.)- IPSec/SSL VPNs; advanced firewalling- Advanced troubleshooting (network + Linux storage)- Monitoring/observability management- Git based DevOps familiarityHighly Valued:- Cloud certs (AWS/Azure/GCP); Terraform/IaC- Security+ or CISSP- CI/CD, SRE, QoS, SNMP/Nagios, AD/LDAP- ITIL experienceOther:Must have full U.S. work rights; background/drug screening; shift/on call required.
