Greater Springfield Chamber of CommerceSpringfield, IL | Full-Time | ExemptAbout The RoleThe Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Young Professionals Program Manager to deliver impactful programs that connect young professionals to networking, community involvement, and professional development opportunities. This role plays a key part in strengthening our regional workforce by providing opportunities that attract and retain young professionals to the area.This position blends program management, community engagement, and partnership development. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-driven, and experienced with working with volunteers.What You’ll DoManage and coordinate activities of several subcommittees of the RISE program, which includes developing agendas, running meetings, preparing meeting summaries and conducting follow-up activitiesWork with volunteers to achieve the objectives of the RISE programRecruit sponsors for the overall program and individual eventsDevelop and implement budgets for program and individual eventsWork with volunteers to market the program, including social mediaDevelop and manage various events, in cooperation with volunteer committeesRepresent RISE at business and community events and meetings, including formal presentations if necessaryAssist with other leadership development activities of The ChamberWhat We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in business, marketing, sales or event planning OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing or event planning activities, or a combination of education and experience.Outgoing personality and positive attitudeExperience managing programs or events involving multiple stakeholders and volunteersStrong communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skillsStrong administrative and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and customer relationship management softwareWork Environment & ScheduleBased at the Chamber office (501 E.
