The role requires a foundational understanding of civil construction, a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a proactive, team-focused approach.Essential Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssist in setting string line to proper elevation and gradeHandle and set metal, wood, and wall formsPlace and level concrete using shovels, rakes, screed boards, and cumalongsFinish concrete using various tools: hand float, edger, jointer, bull float, broom, slick trowelInstall ADA panels and other surface treatmentsOperate concrete finishing equipment: vibra screeds, truss screeds, roller screeds, power trowels, walk-behind and soft cut sawsAssist with curb machine work and related forming/finishing tasksOperate small tools and equipment: cordless drills, circular saws, quickie saws, hammer drills, sledgehammersMaintain worksite cleanliness and assist with general labor dutiesPerform traffic control (flagging), as neededFollow all safety protocols and wear required PPEOther Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssist others in department as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills and AbilitiesWillingness to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and overtime with little noticeReliable transportation with the ability to travel within a 90-mile radius from home officeCompliance with company Drug-Free & Alcohol-Free Workplace policiesStrong attendance, dependability, and punctualityAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, dust, mud)Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentQuick learner with a proactive work ethic and attention to safetyPhysically able to perform the functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodationEducation and ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in concrete constructionHigh school diploma or GED preferredExperience with curb and flatwork preferredPhysical RequirementsLifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs. frequentlyPushing/Pulling: Up to 50 lbs. frequentlyMovement: Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, and liftingUse of Hands: Frequent use for handling tools and equipmentWorking Environment100% field-based role on active construction job sitesInteraction with team members such as Foremen, Superintendents, Laborers, and Equipment OperatorsProjects located across northern Indiana and northeastern OhioMust be able to work in varied weather and environmental conditionsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneHow to Apply:Online: Visit to complete the online Employment Application.
