POSITION SUMMARY: Our Redmond-based client is looking for a Software Database Engineer for a Remote position. Must be a US citizen/Green Card holder. The Software Database Engineer is responsible for defining system information requirements and designing solutions for enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. The role involves working with complex data formats, ETL processes, and ensuring systems meet cross-functional requirements and integration standards. Responsibilities: Design and architect software, hardware, and communications systems to support comprehensive requirements, ensuring scalability for future needs. Ensure systems are compatible with agency IT standards and compliant with platform-specific solutions, including integration with other systems and external interfaces. Maintain a compliant common operating environment, systematically evaluating and resolving workflow, organizational, and planning issues. Provide daily supervision and direction to staff, ensuring successful project execution. Qualifications: Must have 2 years’ experience with Kusto / API integration. Must have 2 years’ experience with Database languages (SEQUEL etc.). Must have 2 Years’ experience with Python. Should have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Must have 1-3 years of experience with ETL processes, particularly with large data formats and complex data systems. Should have proficiency with Kusto, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and API integration. Should have experience in broad technology delivery, including custom software development using various programming languages. Should have proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and present technical options and recommendations to stakeholders. Should have experience in driving technical planning and solutions, including developing software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations. Should have strong analytical skills and the ability to systematically resolve technical and organizational challenges. A competitive pay range of $45/hr- $48/hr (depending on experience). 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO). 9 paid holidays per year (which includes 1 personal floating holiday). 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
