Desktop Support Technician

DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Desktop Technician to join our team in the Miami area. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to provide hands on support and deploy new devices across the company.Responsibilities:- Install, repair, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, & peripherals- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, answer user inquiries, and provide troubleshooting support.- Offer guidance to users on the proper operation and usage of systems and equipment.- Recommend procurement strategies and provide technical specifications for departmental purchases.- Conduct regular assessments of the computing environment and propose improvements to technology and processes.- Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of technical products, systems, and software.- Maintain accurate inventory records and update assignments and tickets in accordance with established procedures.Requirements- Windows 10, Office 365, printers, ticketing system- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality service.- Preferable knowledge of academic or research operations and familiarity with information systems in such environments.- Expertise in computer hardware, configuration management, and Windows operating systems.- Proficiency in managing Active Directory environments.- Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical products and systems.- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
