AR Specialist - Contractor

Accounts Receivable SpecialistAbout the PositionMarket My Market is a digital marketing agency focused on providing outstanding SEO results for clients in the Legal, Dental, and specialty medical industries. We are looking for a contracted Accounts Receivable Specialist (1099 contractor) to manage accounts receivable and invoicing operations. This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and works closely with the Business Development team and Client Experience team.About the RoleWe're searching for a skilled financial specialist to process, track, and record client invoices and payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The person in this role will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our clients.The person in this role will create, send, and monitor monthly invoices to approximately 200 clients. They will submit client payments via credit card and ACH, check accounting records and classifications for accuracy, pay commissions to the sales team, and organize company documents.ResponsibilitiesOnboard new clients in billing systems including creating line items, payment links, and finance intro communicationsPrepare and send invoices for clients using QuickBooks Online and HubSpot Commerce HubMonitor invoicing and money collection processesManage collections including aging review, payment follow-ups, and late fee applicationApply all payments and credits accuratelyAddress client questions about billing in a timely and professional mannerAudit invoices and billing to ensure accuracy and prevent overbillingPerform cash reconciliation between HubSpot and QuickBooks OnlineMaintain QBO to HubSpot sync including client and product synchronizationGenerate MRR reports and identify clients who have not begun billing for servicesProcess and calculate sales team commissionsRespond to Slack requests and provide collaborative support to the teamMaintain inbox and respond to client billing inquiriesManage and complete tasks in Asana dailyCommunicate discrepancies to leadership team and identify slow-paying customersStrengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating regarding past-due accountsQualificationsProficient in QuickBooks Online (required)Experience with HubSpot Commerce Hub or similar payment processing platforms2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliationExperience working in service-based industries (required)Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeepingStrong analytical and administrative skillsExcellent data entry skills with strong attention to detailEffective verbal, listening, and written communication skillsDemonstrates sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlinesAble to work autonomously and independentlyQualities We Look for in an Ideal Team MemberDiscipline and organization to work remotelyResponsiveness and consistent communicationProactive approach with a positive impact on everything they work onAble to follow established processes and proceduresAble to adapt to change and be outspoken about process improvementsSee tasks through to the endAbout the PositionThis is a 1099 contractor position at $40 per hour, up to 35 hours per week.
