Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier behavioral agencies, is currently hiring a Master's Degree Licensed clinician for our Early Childhood program serving children ages 0 to 8. This position will provide some child specific technical assistance consultation in day care settings to prevent expulsions due to behavior. This position will primarily provide family focused therapy and consultation in the home/community. The candidate should be familiar with common childhood diagnosis (such as Adjustment, Behavior, Mood and Anxiety Disorders) behavioral modification and management techniques.

Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
Provide childcare center based Technical Assistance services which consists of:
Conducting classroom observations, developing care plans to assist teachers and participating in transition meetings for children moving into kindergarten.
Developing child specific strategies to modify behavior and assisting teachers with implementing them in classroom settings.
Providing trainings to childcare providers addressing social/emotional needs in the classroom.
Provide home based Consultation and/or Therapy to at risk families with children ages 0-8 who present with/without mental health diagnoses, which consists of:
Conduct a thorough mental health assessment, including diagnoses and treatment plans
Refer, Link and Advocate for families-internal and external services
Complete daily progress notes and other documentation within standard timeframes
Partner with both internal and external service providers in implementing and evaluating client/family progress
Develop effective relationships in order to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Education and Licensure requirements:
Master's Degree
LSW, LPC
Qualifications:
Experience working with at risk children ages 0-8yrs and their families
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care
An ability to successfully engage families of diverse cultures/communities
Skilled in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a full caseload
Ability to work within a team approach
Must have a valid OH driver’s license with no more than 5 points and 24/7 availability.
Preferred Qualifications:
LSW, LPC
Knowledge of the DECA, DC-05, DSM 5, 1 or more years' experience working with early childhood population
Knowledge of Early Childhood and family community resources
Experience with electronic medical records documentation such as progress notes, treatment plans and other necessary clinical documentation.
