Executive Director

This position is responsible for the leadership, management and overall success of the community. Responsibilities will include family service, resident care, financial management, quality assurance, regulatory management, business development goals and maximization of revenue. In addition, you will be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining top talent and supervising and training high-quality team members. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management Team and overall management of the community. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Oversee the total management of the community. Plan, direct, and manage the business office, culinary services, wellness, activities, transportation, and housekeeping/maintenance. Create and adhere to the budget, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring quality of service and care. Create a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family and friends, and all team members while maintaining and enhancing resident independence and satisfaction. Identify and build relationships within the local area that drives business into the community. Effectively communicate and facilitate group presentations. Collaborate with sales and marketing to maximize revenue and our market position and maintain high occupancy through marketing strategies. Attract, develop, and retain top talent. Supervise and train a high-quality team; this includes managing team member relations and recognition, hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision and discipline of team members. Successfully manage family services, the residents well-being, quality assurance, financial management, and regulatory compliance. EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimum 5 to 7 years management experience within a skilled nursing care center or assisted living community with significant level of responsibility and accountability for goal achievement. Certified Assisted Living Managers license in good standing. Current valid fingerprint clearance card Current Food Handlers Card Current first aid and CPR certification. Ability to ensure the delivery of quality care and services to residents. Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring abilities. Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting financial records and reports. Ability to plan, develop and implement the programs, policies and procedures, etc. Skill set needed to develop and maintain positive employee and community relationships necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound business operation. Ability to follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long-term care. Demonstrated ability to set and achieve census and financial targets Able to lift a minimum of 25 to 75 pounds. Strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
