Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Vascular Interventional Technologist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Vascular Interventional TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 9 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x9hrsHours: 36 hrs/wkStart Date: Jun 8, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with experience in peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, and related interventional work at a Level 1 Trauma facility.DetailsVascular Interventional Radiology unit within a Heart & Vascular InstitutePatient population includes those requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studiesProcedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (venous and arterial), venous thrombectomy, dialysis access (AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, peritoneal dialysis catheters), tube access and changes (G-tube, Chole, Neph, Biliary, abscess, SPC), and neuro cases (cerebral arterial/venous, kyphoplasty)Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM on a 4x9 hour shift arrangement (36 hours/week)Weekends and holidays covered on a call rotation basisNo floating requirementsRequirementsAssociate's degree in a related field or certificate in Radiologic Technology requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) requiredARRT Radiography (R) certification requiredIEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required — license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of relevant Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural settingLevel 1 Trauma experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredAbility to work around and maintain a sterile field during proceduresManual dexterity to handle small suppliesAbility to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accuratelyAdditional InformationAssist physicians with all interventional procedures including contrast administration, venipuncture and IV line placement, and recognition of hypersensitivity or allergic reactionsResponsibilities include accurate radiation, sponge, and sharp counts, as well as informing the procedural nurse of correct intra-procedural medication dosesExperience with Interventional Neurology is preferredCandidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleRTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contractContingent workers may not be on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returningAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-707430.
